Attached is my favorite picture of Boris and I, engaged in what is perhaps the greatest adventure ever undertaken by humankind. It was both grotesque and sublime, both splendid and sordid, both magical and surreal. We were Jedi Knights, superheroes, gods and monsters. We were outlaws, warriors, and kings by our own hands. Words cannot fully describe it—and if a picture is tru
ly worth a thousand words, then even the attached picture falls tremendously short. Hopefully this will help commemorate Boris’ 50th in the appropriate style.
