брат лев

I really appreciate how Boris has always taken an interest in my life, and has been very generous in helping me make my way in the world. To me, this story is emblematic of that (I think I told it at your wedding as well).

It was my sophomore year of college, and Valentine's Day was a few days away. We never really talked about our love lives, but for whatever reason Boris brought it up this time, asking me if I was doing anything for Valentine's Day. We were at work at the time, Boris had gotten me a job at the company he was working at. I said that yes, there was this girl I asked out, and we were going on a date. He asked where we were going, and of course I didn't know yet. He then proceeded to pull out a hundred dollars and give it to me, saying here, make a reservation somewhere and have fun. I promptly proceeded to make a reservation at a fancy dessert place, where my date and I got a decadent chocolate tasting for $25. I don't remember the rest of the details of how that $100 was spent, but the date did lead to a 2-year relationship so I must have done something right.
